Meet the ASAPCOUNTWORDS() function. Count words in any cell or range in Excel, with the same accuracy you get in Microsoft Word. It handles hyphens, en and em dashes, and all kinds of spaces, and works across nearly all languages worldwide.

This makes it easy for translators, editors, and Excel professionals who need to count words in Excel reliably.

Other improvements include various minor updates, text improvements and fixes for a smoother experience.
