Excel tip: Align currency symbols to the leftDate: 10 september 2001To have the currency symbol appear on the left of the cell rather than just to the left of the number, include for example, $* or €* followed by a space at the beginning of the number format. The example on the left uses the number format: "€* #,##0;€* -#,##0" (without the quotes). The * means repeat the next character, which in this case is a space, enough times to fill the width of the column.
