ASAP Utilities processes Excel data locally and does not send workbooks or their contents to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data when you use our website or communicate with us, such as by email or through a support request.
Online orders and payments are processed by 2Checkout, a Verifone company ↗, which acts as the Merchant of Record for these purchases. 2Checkout handles the payment transaction and payment card information. A Must in Every Office BV does not store or have access to customers' complete payment card details.

ASAP Utilities processes Excel data locally on the user's computer. It does not send users' workbooks, files, or their contents to ASAP Utilities or third-party servers for processing or storage.
ASAP Utilities runs inside the Windows desktop version of Microsoft Excel. The tools operate within the user's local environment. No cloud processing is used. Using the tools does not require a connection to ASAP Utilities servers.
For more information, see Your Excel Data Stays Local.
ASAP Utilities does not store users' workbooks, files, or their contents on our servers or third-party servers.
Some user-initiated tools, such as certain export tools, may temporarily create files in the user's local Windows TEMP folder when required for their operation. These files remain on the user's computer and are normally removed when they are no longer needed.
ASAP Utilities uses an internet connection for license activation and periodic license validation. Optional usage statistics can also be enabled. Neither includes users' workbooks, files, or their contents.
License activation and periodic validation communicate with our licensing system using HTTPS/TLS. The information exchanged is limited to information needed for license management and does not include users' workbooks, files, or their contents. Our licensing system is hosted in the European Union.
ASAP Utilities does not require a continuous internet connection. After successful license validation, the software continues to work without an internet connection and is not dependent on continuous availability of our licensing servers.
Offline activation and license verification are available upon request when an internet connection cannot be used.
Usage statistics are optional and disabled by default. When enabled, they help us understand how ASAP Utilities is used and help us improve the product. The following information may be included:
The statistics do not include the user's name, company name, email address, workbooks, files, or their contents.
As with any internet connection, our server receives the originating IP address. The IP address is anonymized before it is stored.
Usage statistics are sent to our own servers in the European Union using HTTPS/TLS. Organizations can keep this feature disabled through a Windows Registry setting when deploying ASAP Utilities.
ASAP Utilities is commercial off-the-shelf software that customers can download, install, and use within their own Windows environment. No customer-specific implementation or vendor access to customer systems is required.
ASAP Utilities can be installed and deployed entirely by the customer. Both standard installers and single-user non-admin installers are available.
Silent installation and uninstall are supported for managed deployment. Licensing and most settings are stored per Windows user.
For installation options, silent deployment, license deployment, and other technical details, see IT Deployment and Technical Information.
ASAP Utilities is digitally signed by A Must in Every Office BV, allowing Microsoft Excel to verify the publisher and integrity of the signed VBA code.
During installation, customers can add A Must in Every Office BV, the company behind ASAP Utilities, to the list of Trusted Publishers. This option is enabled by default during installation. This allows the signed ASAP Utilities add-in to run without requiring users to enable all VBA macros or lower their general Excel macro security settings. Organizations can also manage Trusted Publishers centrally according to their own IT policies.
ASAP Utilities runs with the permissions of the Windows user. It does not require special or elevated runtime privileges.
The non-admin installer allows installation for an individual Windows user without administrator rights. Organizations can also use the standard installer for managed deployment according to their own IT policies.
ASAP Utilities does not contain remote access or remote administration functionality and does not provide us with access to customer systems.
No vendor access is required for installation, deployment, activation, or use of the software.
ASAP Utilities runs as an Excel add-in. It does not install or run a background service and does not create scheduled tasks.
ASAP Utilities releases are digitally signed and checked before publication. Software updates are user-initiated and are not downloaded or installed automatically.
The ASAP Utilities installer and Excel add-in files are digitally signed with an Extended Validation (EV) Code Signing Certificate issued to A Must in Every Office BV. This allows Windows and administrators to verify the publisher and integrity of the signed files.
Before publication, releases are scanned for malware using up-to-date antivirus and anti-malware software. Public releases are also submitted to VirusTotal for additional scanning by multiple security vendors.
Previous and current versions can be downloaded from our Download All Versions page.
ASAP Utilities does not automatically download or install software updates and does not check for updates in the background.
New versions and important updates are announced on our website and through our newsletter. Users can also manually open the ASAP Utilities website from within the add-in to check for news and updates.
Customers can download new versions when appropriate under their own internal testing, approval, and deployment policies.
ASAP Utilities is actively maintained for supported versions of Microsoft Excel. We monitor changes to Microsoft Excel and update ASAP Utilities when necessary to maintain compatibility with supported versions.
There are currently no known security vulnerabilities in ASAP Utilities, and we are not aware of any security incidents involving the product since its first release in 1999.
Suspected security vulnerabilities can be reported to security@asap-utilities.com. Reports are reviewed and investigated, and appropriate action is taken when a security issue is confirmed.
ASAP Utilities is developed in-house using Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), the programming language built into Microsoft Excel. Third-party software and code are used for a limited number of specific purposes.
ASAP Utilities is developed using the Windows desktop version of Microsoft 365 Excel ↗.
The VBA project is additionally protected using Unviewable+ ↗.
The Windows installers are created using Inno Setup ↗.
For organizations that prefer manual installation, the ASAP Utilities add-in (.xlam) files are also available separately in a ZIP package, without the installer. See Download All Versions.
ASAP Utilities incorporates VBA-UserForm-MouseScroll ↗, an open-source VBA project that adds mouse-wheel scrolling support to certain user forms in Excel.
This code runs locally as part of the add-in and does not communicate with its developer or provide third parties with access to customer systems, workbooks, files, or their contents.
ASAP Utilities does not use artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning. No AI or machine-learning functionality, models, or services are included in or used by the software.
Users' workbooks, files, and their contents are not sent to AI or machine-learning services for processing, analysis, or training.
ASAP Utilities is locally installed software, not a Software as a Service (SaaS) application. It runs within the Windows desktop version of Microsoft Excel on the user's computer.
Users' workbooks, files, and their contents are not uploaded to or processed by ASAP Utilities or third-party cloud services.
ASAP Utilities uses limited internet communication for license activation and periodic license validation, and optionally for usage statistics, as described under Licensing and Optional Usage Statistics. This communication does not include users' workbooks, files, or their contents.
A Must in Every Office BV is not currently ISO 27001 certified and does not have a SOC 2 report.
