Analyze Selected Cells: Count, Sum, and More...

This tool analyzes your selected range and gives an overview of key values.

It provides the following information:

• Total number of selected cells
• Number of numeric cells
• Number of text cells
• Number of blank cells
• Sum of numeric values
• Average
• Minimum value
• Maximum value
• Number of duplicate values (appear more than once)
• Number of unique values
• Number of values that appear only once

You can optionally create a new workbook with these results.

Note:

• The tool is case-sensitive. For example, "Excel" and "EXCEL" are considered different values.
• If your selection includes formulas, the tool compares the calculated values, not the formulas themselves. For instance, if one cell displays the number 12 and another cell contains the formula =3*4 resulting in 12, they are considered duplicates.
• Values in hidden rows (such as in a filtered list) and hidden columns are skipped.
