Import Data from Exclamation-Delimited (!) Text File...

This tool imports the contents of a text file that uses the exclamation mark (!) as a delimiter, inserting the data into your current worksheet starting at the position of the active cell.

It splits the data into columns at each exclamation mark and uses your system's regional settings to interpret numbers and dates.

This tool is a faster alternative to manually opening the file and copying the data into your target sheet.

Use it when you want to:

Note:
Although rare today, some legacy systems or custom exports may use the exclamation mark (!) as a delimiter to avoid conflicts with more common characters like commas or tabs.
