ASAP Utilities for Excel - Extend Selection to the Lowest Used Row

Extend Selection to the Lowest Used Row

ASAP Utilities › Select  ›  9. Extend Selection to the Lowest Used Row

Easily extend your selection of cells downward to the last used row in your worksheet without scrolling manually.

This tool is especially useful when Excel's built-in shortcuts don't work as expected:

  • 'Control+Shift+' stops at empty cells, which can be limiting if your data has gaps.
  • 'Control+Shift+End' selects extra columns, but you only want to extend downward.

Unlike Excel's shortcuts, this tool recognizes the last row that contains any content, including values, formulas, formatting, or other cell usage. This makes it ideal for quickly selecting data, copying formulas, or applying formatting down to the last relevant row without guesswork.

By default, you can launch this tool using the Control+Alt+Shift+ shortcut.
